Purpose of the Report |

To enable appointments to Outside Bodies to be considered. |
2.0 Sylvester Petyt’s Foundation (Skipton)
2.1 North Yorkshire County Council has one representative on the Sylvester Petyt’s Foundation (Skipton).In May 2022, Roger Ingham was re-appointed to the Foundation through to May 2027. The County Councillor responsible for making this nomination, based upon their electoral division, was Councillor Robert Heseltine.
2.2 Roger Ingham has recently decided to stand down and therefore the Foundation is seeking a replacement.
2.3 Detailed information in respect of each outside body, including the following, is available to Members on request to Democratic Services: -
• Meetings – frequency per year; venue; time of day/evening meetings held
• Recent Minutes
2.4 This appointment is a category 3 Outside Body, whereby:
• The person appointed is expected to be a member of the local community, but may be the local Member
• The local Member will make a nomination to the relevant Area Committee
• The relevant Area Committee will make the appointment
• There will be no officer support
• There will be no report back (unless the local Member deems it necessary)
• Expenses will not be paid by the County Council.
